It’s been a little over a year since Fustero stopped making machine heads. Fusteros were the machines you would find on all of the best Spanish guitars, and their look is pretty iconic (and of course they work very well).

This year at NAMM I saw what looked like a bunch of Fustero machine heads, which didn’t make sense, since I knew they were out of business. Well, it turns out that Gotoh has recently introduced their RK Fustero style tuner, which looks pretty much identical to the Fusteros we all know, but function like the top-of-the-line Gotoh tuners, which are amazing (I have some and love them, and I’m a bit obsessed with machine heads). They come in all sorts of button/plate/roller combinations, and will make a perfect replacement for any older Fusteros. Check them all out here.
