Description

This instrument was custom-built for Angel Romero in 1980 after a team of luthiers from Yamaha visited him, taking measurements of his body proportions - hands, shoulders, arms, etc. in attempt to build as ergonomically perfect a design as possible for his playing. The Yamaha luthiers at this time had been trained by Manuel Hernandez (of the famous Hernandez y Aguado workshop) and so the build is thoroughly Spanish throughout. It was built with select materials, including a beautiful set of CSA rosewood for the back and sides. Its sound is characterized by sweet, bright and mild colors of tone, with excellent dynamic expression. Although used, this instrument is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs, only some wear in the finish from many years of use by Angel Romero - it's first and until now - only, owner.
